Community Grants
Community Grants are offered to not-for-profit community groups or organisation to support community activity and innovation as well as partnership programs of direct benefit to the Hume Community.
2012 Community Grants Program
Applications closed 5pm Friday 19 August 2011
One hundred and sixty eight applications from Hume's not-for-profit community groups and organisations will share in over $500,000 funding, with Council announcing on Monday, 24th October 2011, the recipients of its 2012 Community Grants program.
The grants totalling $517,860 will offer support to local groups and organisations to build stronger and more socially cohesive communities across the municipality.

A Community Grants Presentation Evening was held at Broadmeadows Town Hall on Tuesday 6 December 2011, to congratulate the community groups that have received funding.
The 2012 Community Grants Program enables Council to work in partnership with Hume's not-for-profit community groups and organisations to create sustained and positive change and to further build community wellbeing.
There are three categories available to grant seekers for funding:
Community Activity Grants:
- Up to $2,000 to assist local groups with the ongoing costs of providing services and activities to meet the social, recreational and support needs of the citizens of Hume City. Costs may include incorporation, insurance, promotion, small equipment purchases and room hire expenses.
Innovation Grants:
- Up to $5,000 to encourage new ideas, sustainable projects and collaborations of substantial benefit to the Hume Community.
Partnership Grants:
- Up to $20,000 annually, to encourage greater partnerships between successful applicants and Council.
