Zoning and Overlays Information
The State Government has acted to make planning information highly accessible to internet users. You can locate your site and view and download the relevant planning maps and planning controls. You can also ask your planning consultant or building designer to do this for you. Hume Planning Scheme - download from website via our Link. To obtain an up to date written confirmation of zoning and overlays on properties, apply for a Planning Certificate from the Department of Planning & Community Development (a fee is applicable).

Purchasing a Property - Certificate of Titles
Before contacting Council for advice on controls affecting a property you are interested in purchasing, a Section 32 document should be obtained from the agent or vendor (which should also have available current zoning information). A vendor is legally required to provide information to prospective purchasers including a current Planning Certificate and current copy of Title (with any restrictive covenants) under Section 32 of the Transfer of Land Act.
Council does not hold Certificate of Titles we cannot give sound advice on any restrictions that may affect the property.
