Craigieburn Leisure Centre Sports Stadium Extension

The Craigieburn Leisure Centre Sports Stadium Extension has been completed. The project involved the construction of two new full sized indoor sports courts, built to high level competition standard for both basketball and netball. These were to complement the existing 3 courts already located at the site. 

The project has also seen the creation of new change room and amenities, reception area and viewing foyer. The extension is designed to link the existing Craigieburn Leisure Centre and Functions Lounge to enable interaction between all three areas.

The extension increases sporting, recreational and social opportunities for the residents of Craigieburn and the wider Hume Community. The new building is a great example of the growing partnership between Hume City Council and State Government. Joint funding was provided for this project with $4.8 million funded by Council and $700,000 allocated by the State Government through the Department of Planning and Community Development.
