Join the Library

You may become a member of Hume Libraries when visiting any of the 6 library locations, alternately you can create a membership online and then visit a Hume Libraries branch to complete your membership and collect your membership card. You will need to provide identification showing your name and current address. This may be provided in the form of (but not limited to) licence, health care card, billing notice, rental receipt.

Borrowing

You need to present your membership card when borrowing materials, using a computer or WiFi.

Loan periods for materials are as follows:

  • books, talking books and language kits - three weeks
  • magazines and DVDs - one week.

You can also request materials from other branches or materials that are currently on loan. Speak to our staff to find out more.

You can use your membership card at any  Hume Libraries branch

Please notify the library immediately if your membership card is lost or stolen.

Renew your items

You can renew your materials, as long as no one else has reserved them, online or by contacting any Hume Libraries branch.

Late renewals and returns incur an overdue fine. View the list of fees, charges and terms of use.
