BROADMEADOWS 2009 COMMUNITY FESTIVAL

 Activity Circle & Broadmeadows Historical Society
 Pacific Tsunami Relief Concert
MUSIC & MORE ON MAIN STAGE 10am – 4pm at CIVIC PLAZA
Music & More on Main StageMain Stage entertainment certainly has all the ingredients for an outstanding day for the whole family. From 10am, the program will showcase some of the finest local talent, breathtaking multicultural song and dance exhibitions, hip hop, jazz, tap, theatrical and rock ‘n’ roll dancing. Fabulous children’s entertainers, The Kazoos, will present three shows and for animal lovers, get up-close to some of the most extraordinary wildlife in Australia with Wild Action ‘the zoo that comes to you’.

1.00pm        ‘It’s all about YOUth” Hip Hop display and workshop

3.00pm        Hong De Lion (interactive ‘lion’ dancing)
3.15pm        Break on stage while parade is on
4.00pm        ‘Hume on Parade’ show and judging
5.00pm        Main stage entertainment ends

Additionally, the ‘It’s all about YOUth’ area will feature competitions, giveaways, free temporary tattoos and a chill out lounge with a Wii! Join in cup cake decorating or make your own edible chocolate extravaganza. At 1pm check out the main stage for Hip Hop! Performances and workshops presented by the extraordinary George from Wicked Force. ‘It’s all about YOUth’ has something for everyone.

EAT STREET 10am - 5pm
Eat StreetToast the arrival of summer and enjoy a feast of multicultural food, with a street of stalls offering new taste sensations for everyone. ‘Eat Street’ will present a truly cultural food affair where you will be able to experience culinary adventures which will be diverse, exciting, fragrant and very, very tasty!

KIDS COOKIN' 11am and 1pm
Kids Cookin'Hume Global Learning Centre
Kids from 5-15 will delight in interactive cooking classes presented by catering company Distinctively Delicious. ‘Kids Cookin’ will give children the opportunity to begin building strong nutritional values which encourage healthy lifestyle choices. Kids will enjoy tasty treats while learning about food in a fun environment and each child will go home with a fantastic showbag. Great prizes will be given out for outstanding participation throughout the classes. Two shows at 11am and 1pm and only 50 kids per show (so be there early on the day) as this is a free event.
