Hume Interfaith Network
Over the past 10 years, Hume Interfaith Network has worked with Council and has shared with others their knowledge and experiences in strengthening social justice, deepening mutual respect and promoting community participation and wellbeing.
Aims of the Network
Our basic aim is to create an opportunity for people of different faiths and cultural groups to meet and learn from one another in a spirit of dialogue and peace, and to contribute to the health and wellbeing of the broader community.
We recognise that each group has a unique story and a unique value for our community. We aim to celebrate the rich diversity as well as identify common threats that may be a basis for unity.
Membership
The group is inclusive and open to leaders and representative of faith and cultural communities who accept the basic understanding and purposes of the Network.
When we Meet
The Network meets every second month on the first Wednesday of the month from 3.30pm to 5.00pm at the Hume Global Learning Centre, 1093 Pascoe Vale Road, Broadmeadows. Additional meetings are held if required.
