Community Tree Planting

Hume’s Greening Program engages schools, environmental groups, multicultural groups and members of the community in planting projects on Council-owned public land in Hume. It encourages community members to become active in the long-term care and improvement of their local environment through activities such as planting of trees and shrubs, weeding and waterway and wildlife studies.

The Autumn-Winter 2012 Greening Calendar
See below to check out planting events in your area.  If you would like to participate in any of the planting days listed, feel free to join in on the day. Bookings are not necessary. Just dress appropriately for the weather (including a hat), a water bottle, protective shoes and Hume City Council will provide the rest including a barbeque lunch.
