 Hume Blue Light Disco - 21 June, 13 September & 22 November
 

Hume Blue Light DiscoCoordinated with the local emergency services and led by the Craigieburn Police Force, Hume Blue Light Disco is a not-for-profit event aimed at providing kids Grade 3 to 6 with a safe place to meet other children and to associate with emergency service personnel. There will be raffle prizes and dance comps. Entry is $7.00 and covers heaps of raffle prizes and giveaways. Drinks, hot food and snacks are available for purchase from the school canteen.

 Green Walks in the Park
 

The Green Walks in the Park Program, an initative of Heart Foundation Victoria and Bushwalking Victoria, aims to get more people walking more often in more local parks. Explore new green spaces each month with guided Green Walks in different parks across Victoria. The program is a fun and active way to spend time with family and friends in parkslands and open spaces. Green Walks are free and suitable for all ages. Walking in green places, especially with others, is a great tonic for your body and your mind.

 The BEAT (Broadmeadows Employment and Training) Job Club - every Wednesday
 

The BEAT (Broadmeadows Employment and Training) - An outreach Job Club program operates every Wednesday from 10am – 1pm at Dallas Neighbourhood House (Tel. 9302 2131).

Commencing in September the BEAT will be operating the first two Wednesdays of the month at Banksia Gardens Community Centre (Tel. 9309 8531) and the 3rd and 4th Wednesday of the month at Banksia Gardens Community Centre.

Hume City Council in partnership with other community agencies including Employment Service Providers, Centrelink, and Registered Training Organisations assist residents with career counselling, job search support, resume writing, job interview preparation and referral to courses and other support services.

Highlands Farmers' Market 

The Highlands Farmers' & Community Market is one of the other fabulous community events held within the Stockland Community.

This event takes place on the third Saturday of every month from 9am to 2pm beside the picturesque Highlands Lake.

Locals and residents can enjoy an array of fresh seasonal produce, wine, unique handmade arts and craft, fine jewellery, sweet treats, toys, jumping castle, free family fun and much more from stallholders in the beautiful surrounds of Highlands Lake.

Each month the Highlands Farmers' & Community Market will be themed, so each month you visit, you can experience something special.
