Stages of Strategy Development
What is the Hume Youth Strategy?
Hume City Council is developing the Hume Youth Strategy 2010 – 2013 which will address the services and opportunities available for young people aged between 10 and 24 across Hume City over the next three years.
The Youth Strategy will provide planned responses to:
The changing youth demographic in Hume City
Issues affecting young people and their families
Coordinated service delivery frameworks for Council Youth Services and other agencies in Hume City
Gaps in service delivery for young people
Enhancing current capacity to provide whole of Council responses to youth related planning and programming
Have Your Say
Council calls for the community to respond to the proposed Hume Youth Strategy 2010 – 2013 Issues and Ideas Paper in order to provide valued insight into Council’s biggest youth consultation project to date yet.
The four themes of the strategy will be addressed in each focus group – these themes are:
inform
,
access and opportunity
,
participate
and
advocate
. More details about these themes are available on Council’s website within the
Issues and Ideas Paper
.
Hume residents are encouraged to respond to the topics in the
Issues and Ideas
Paper by attending a focus group, talking to a Hume City Council Youth Worker, via email to
youth@hume.vic.gov.au
or through written submission to PO Box 119, Dallas 3047.
To book in to a focus group contact Council’s Customer service on 9205 2200.
