| Council and Broadmeadows Community Neighbourhood Renewal invite residents to come along and have their say on the improvement of Olsen Place.
A community information session will be held on Saturday 14 November to generate ideas from residents and local businesses that will then be incorporated into an Amenity Improvement Plan for Olsen Place.
Hume Mayor, Cr Jack Ogilvie said “This is an opportunity for every member of the community to contribute to the further development of Olsen Place as a local centre for retail and community activities.
“With Olsen Place being such an important centre for the community, I encourage all local residents to come along and take part in helping to improve the appearance of this area.”
The session will be held in Olsen Place Shopping Centre where everyone will be able to view and comment on the conceptual design ideas. Residents will also be able to provide feedback on minor improvements to the existing furniture and infrastructure in the mall area.
The plan and proposed minor improvements aim to enhance the appearance of the centre, increase safety, and provide better facilities for the whole community to enjoy. The plan will be available for viewing and comment on the day.
A survey will be available for members of the community to note key thoughts from the day. A sausage sizzle and light refreshments will be provided.
