Broadmeadows Street Festival Grants scheme

 

The Broadmeadows Street Festival is one of Hume City Council’s major events and will be held in Tanderrum Way, Broadmeadows on Sunday, 8 April 2018 from 1pm to 7pm.

Hume community groups and individuals can apply for a share in $25,000 funding to showcase their talents through a range of performances and activities at the event.

The grants scheme is available to support community groups and individuals to undertake a range of activities that encourage greater participation in the event.

Grants will be provided to community groups for the development, production, and showcasing of range of activities in the following categories:

  • Performance – such as song, dance, theatre, poetry
  • Art – such as short film, photographic display and light projection display
  • Food – such as cooking demonstrations (subject to meeting food handling requirements)
  • Displays – costumes, handicrafts; and
  • Other activities considered to be of benefit the event.

For your application to be considered, your activity must take place at the Broadmeadows Street Festival on Sunday, 8 April 2018.

Grants Applications open: 5pm, Friday, 17 November 2017
Grants Applications close:  11.59pm, Sunday, 17 December 2017 

Who can apply

For your application to be considered, your group or organisation is required to:

  • Be not-for-profit
  • Be able to demonstrate that the applicant has minimal financial resources or limited ability to fundraise
  • Have no outstanding debts with Hume City Council
  • Have no outstanding grant acquittals of prior grants allocated by Hume City Council
  • Be incorporated

What can I apply for?

You can apply for up to $2,500 in funding.

You will be requested to outline how the money will be spent.

Applications must be received by 11.59pm on Sunday 17 December 2017.

  • Answers must be provided to all questions within the application form.
  • Incomplete applications will not be eligible.
  • All relevant supporting documentation to be lodged with your application.
  • Please keep a copy of your completed application for your records as Council will not return the submission.
