Project Grant

Project Grants are designed to encourage new ideas, sustainable projects and collaborations that are of substantial benefit to the Hume community.  Project Grants provide organisations with funds for a 12-month period to pilot initiatives. These projects may then develop into projects that can be considered for a Partnership Grant in subsequent years.

Project Grant proposals could include, but are not limited to:

  • Resources to develop an idea into a pilot proposal
  • Piloting a new service or program
  • Research to investigate an emerging need
  • Development of a plan to deliver a new service or program
  • Enhancement of access to programs and information
  • Development of a partnership proposal
  • A feasibility study to investigate a service or project proposal

Applicants must:

  • Discuss their proposal with Council’s Community Grants Officer by calling 9205 2200 prior to submission.
  • Be an incorporated not-for-profit community group or organisation.
  • Run the activity or project from a location within Hume and/or show that it will substantially benefit residents of Hume City.
  • Have no outstanding debts with Hume City Council.
  • Have satisfactorily acquitted previous funding received by Hume City Council.
