Our Anzac History
The Anzac Centenary 2014 - 2018 commemorates our nation’s involvement in the First World War and more than a century of service by Australian servicemen and women.
A number of events and activities are planned by the Federal and State governments, Returned Service League sub-branches and ex-service organisations, community organisations, schools and museums to mark this important milestone.
Hume City Council established the Anzac Centenary Community Committee to provide consideration and recommend activities to encourage awareness and participation from the whole of the community.
Anzac Centenary Commemorative Activities
A range of Council and community-led activities will happen within Hume City to mark the Anzac Centenary and in particular, the centenary of the landing of Gallipoli.
Here’s an overview of what’s happening.
