Children’s services open night

Hume parents will have the opportunity to tour Children’s Service centres as part of an open night across Hume City on Thursday 23 February from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Hume Mayor Councillor Drew Jessop said 28 Hume Children’s Service centres were expected to open their doors for the open night.

“Parents will have the opportunity to view facilities and ask educators questions about their child’s early childhood education to see if the centre is the right fit for them and their child,” Cr Jessop said.

“It’s a timely event that coincides with 3 Year Old Activity Program and 4 Year old Preschool registrations opening on 1 March 2017.”

Cr Jessop said Hume City Council was proud of the centres across the City for providing high quality care that supported learning and development in the early years.

“Our highly qualified and friendly staff create a positive, stimulating and nurturing environment to meet the individual needs of all children in their care,” Cr Jessop said.

“The childcare services open night is just one example of how we’re making it easier for parents to access the best in services and facilities.

“Our young children are our future and Council is proud to provide world-class learning and education services for them.”
