Celebrating the Craigieburn community

Mayor of Hume City, Councillor Carly Moore praised the community groups, volunteers, Victoria Police, sponsors and festival goers who together made the Craigieburn Festival 2019 such a great day out.

“It’s estimated up to 10,000 people joined the celebration at ANZAC Park on Saturday 2 March despite the warmer than usual weather throughout the day.

“The headline act, Justice Crew certainly got the crowd dancing with their energetic performance, the entertainment throughout the day was outstanding.

“I’d especially like to thank event sponsors Stockland, Leader Newspapers and Mantra Tullamarine for supporting the Craigieburn Festival.

The second annual Craigieburn Twilight Fun Run was also popular with more than 170 runners taking part. Congratulations to Marcel Sahyoune who ran the 5km course in 19 minutes 31 seconds, ahead of Carl Kennedy (20:23) and James Bird (21:14).

All Twilight Fun Run participants had the chance to go into the draw to win 1 of 14 great prizes provided by Splash Aqua Park and Leisure Centre, Mantra Tullamarine and Craigieburn Central. Winners yet to collect their prize can contact our Communications team on 9205 2200.
