Fast Track Planning
Council has developed a cross departmental process where projects involving substantial capital expenditure and job creation are facilitated to support the most efficient passage through the Statutory Planning process.

Limited financial incentives maybe available for new businesses relocating to Hume. To activate the incentive projects needs to generate at least 50FTE ongoing jobs, and / or involve $50 million worth of capital investment. Labour Market Facilitation
Council can support businesses to hire local staff through the “Hume Joblink - Local Jobs for Local People” program, where Council acts as a neutral and trusted broker between employers, developers, local community based organisations, education providers and employment service providers. Prior to a new business establishing in Hume, this service can help determine the labour requirement for the business and help ensure as many of those jobs as possible are sourced from the local labour market.
