Located in the most liveable city in the world, Hume is a great place to live, work and visit. Developments in Merrifield, Aitken Hill and Cloverton have a large number of Melbourne’s most affordable residential living. There are a number of amenities for residents to access including healthcare, shopping centres and recreational facilities. Council recently invested $50m in to build Splash – a state-of-the-art leisure centre with swimming pools, a gym, group fitness classes as well as a wellness centre offering beauty services and massages.

There is also access to a variety of education services including local government and independent primary and secondary schools, TAFE, as well as university programs through Council’s Multiversity program. Hume City is well connected with public transport. Trains provide access to regional towns and interstate via V/Line, buses, give residents access to the CBD, Greater Melbourne, Victoria and other states.

Hume residents and visitors have many unique and historically significant places to visit and explore, including Victoria’s oldest homestead, the birthplace of the Ashes, award winning wineries, parks and gardens, markets, museums and galleries, walking and cycling tracks, festivals and events.
