Dallas Shopping Centre

Hume City Council is undertaking works to help make Dallas Shopping Centre a better experience for customers and business owners. 

Since 2016, Council has made a number of upgrades at Dallas Shopping Centre: 

  • New toilet facility located within centre
  • Installation of new drinking fountain
  • Public realm upgrades to Dobell Place and Dargie Court

We are now undertaking more capital improvement works to further improve Dallas Shopping Centre.

The new scheduled Council works will include:

  • Reconfiguration of the car park to create safer access for pedestrians and vehicles
  • New footpaths to better connect Phillip and Blair Streets
  • Landscaping to improve the centre’s appearance on Blair Street
  • New lighting to improve access and enhance a sense of safety
  • ‘Welcome to Dallas’ sign with feature lighting to enhance sense of place
  • New seats to promote community gathering
  • More trees to create shade
  • Raingarden to assist irrigation of trees

Car Park Construction Timeframes:  

End of September 2019 to November 2019. 

Construction of the car park and surrounds will be staged to minimise disturbance to customer parking, with finalisation of landscaping (trees, understorey planting and other features) occurring from mid-January 2020.
