Meadowlink: New Park, New Connections

The Victorian Government’s $2 million investment in Meadowlink is proudly being delivered by Hume City Council. Meadowlink will see a former rail track located in Broadmeadows transformed into a new linear park. Initial works will connect Railway Crescent to Merlynston Creek via Seabrook Reserve and deliver:

  • 1.3km of shared walking and cycling paths
  • 400 new trees and 500 new plants
  • seating and opportunities to meet and socialise along the shared path, and
  • new lighting to ensure public safety

This new open space corridor, which is planned to be open to the public in early 2019, will provide a recreational path for walking, running and cycling; and will contribute to community health and wellbeing, while delivering new ecological habitats and improved landscaping.
