Meadowlink: New Park, New Connections

The Victorian Government’s $2 million investment in Meadowlink has proudly been delivered by Hume City Council. Officially opened on 30 July 2019 by our Mayor Cr Carly Moore and the State Member for Broadmeadows, Frank McGuire, Meadowlink Linear Park has transformed a former rail track located in Broadmeadows into a vibrant new park connecting Railway Crescent to Merlynston Creek via Seabrook Reserve.  The project has delivered:

  • 1.3km of shared walking and cycling paths
  • 400 new trees and 500 new plants
  • seating and opportunities to meet and socialise along the shared path, and
  • new lighting to ensure public safety

This new open space corridor provides a recreational path for walking, running and cycling which is contributing to community health and wellbeing, while delivering new ecological habitats and improved landscaping.
