Get Moving

Whether it’s a little or a lot, what matters is getting more movement into your day. Moving and making time for your health doesn’t need to be a chore.

Perhaps you’re not ready to start ‘exercising’ (and that's okay!), but you are ready to start ‘moving’ more. It's best to start small:

  • Take the steps instead of the elevator/escalator.
  • Think about how do you get your groceries: can you walk to the shops?
  • If you love your car, give it a four-day week. Think about different ways you can get to work or school and try to utilise Active Travel (walking, cycling or public transit)
  • Add some activity into your weekly coffee catch-ups by asking your friend to walk to the cafe with you. Check out Hume City's walking and cycling paths.
