Hume Volunteer Gateway

The Hume Volunteer Gateway is a free community service that connects people who want to volunteer with organisations that need volunteers.

Volunteering Training Workshops

Council is celebrating 10 years of the Hume Volunteering Gateway by offering two free workshops on Tuesday 14 May.

Hume Volunteering Gateway was launched in 2009 to help connect community organisations with locals who wanted to learn new skills and contribute to their community through volunteering. Many volunteers and organisations have helped this program achieve success over the last decade. Today there are more opportunities than ever for volunteers in Hume.

Facilitated by Justice Connect, a social justice organisation that assists community groups, the workshops will run from 8.30am to 4.30pm and cover topics such as ‘Governing a Community Organisation’ and ‘Volunteers and the Law’.
