The Hume Global Learning Centre - Cragieburn is currently closed due to COVID-19. This is just one measure Council has put in place to assist our community in social distancing and will help delay the spread of COVID-19. Find out more about changes to Council facilities, services and programs. 

 

The stunning Hume Global Learning Centre (HGLC) – Craigieburn offers the growing local community a space to learn, share knowledge and inspire creativity. The centre is located at 75-95 Central Park Avenue, Craigieburn, the site of the Craigieburn Town Centre.

The contemporary building features iconic architectural design with facilities including IT training rooms, small to medium sized meeting rooms, as well as a large multipurpose room equipped with the latest audio visual presentation equipment.

In addition to meeting and event space, the centre houses the Craigieburn Library, a gallery and exhibition space, an occasional care facility, Council’s Customer Service Centre and Deakin Multiversity Office.

Operating hours:

Craigieburn Customer Service Centre
Monday – Friday: 8am-5pm

Craigieburn Library
The Craigieburn Library hours of operation have been extended from 44 hours to 56 hours per week to offer greater convenience and access to our services. The new hours of operation are:
Monday–Thursday: 10am-8pm
Friday: 10am-5pm
Saturday: 10am-4pm
Sunday: 1pm-4pm

Training and conference facility
The operating hours for the training and conference facility will be based on event bookings. Please contact our Bookings Team for more information.

Please note, these hours may vary over the Easter weekend, the Christmas and New Year period and on public holidays. Please visit hume.vic.gov.au/holidayhours for information about current holiday operating hours.

Occasional care

Conveniently located within the centre is the council run occasional care facility which has been purpose-built to provide high quality occasional care for children aged from six weeks to six years.

Event holders can choose to complement their event with the provision of child care for interested participants. Speak to our bookings staff about arranging occasional care when booking for your next event.

Access

Located on the corner of Central Park Avenue and Aitken Boulevard, the centre is accessible by car and bus and just over three kilometres from Craigieburn train station.

Car
Free parking is available in the car park directly behind the centre. Entry to the car park is via Central Park Avenue.

Train
Craigieburn train station is located just over three kilometres from the centre with direct connections to and from the Melbourne CBD.

Bus
Bus number 529 provides direct connection from Craigieburn train station.
