Build a Better Hume - Lake

This State Election, Council will call on all parties to commit to funding for the following priorities as part of our Build a Better Hume campaign:

  • Redevelopment of Broadmeadows Train Station
  • Big Housing Build to invest in social housing at Broadmeadows’ Banksia Gardens Housing Estate
  • Duplication of Sunbury Road (between Bulla-Diggers Rest Road and Melbourne Airport)
  • Duplication of Mickleham Road (between Dellamore Boulevard and Craigieburn Road)
  • Duplication of Somerton Road (between Roxburgh Park Drive and Mickleham Road)
  • Donnybrook Road improvements (Stage one – an additional dedicated left turn lane at the Mitchell Street roundabout)
We want to hear about your connection to these key projects and other important matters in our community survey.

Help us better understand:
  • How you perceive the roles and responsibilities of different levels of government
  • How you draw attention to issues in the community
  • The projects you believe Council should seek funding for in 2023 and beyond
Your responses will ensure that we advocate and work with key stakeholders on the projects that matter most to Hume residents.

You have until Friday 2 September to complete the survey.
