Our Leisure Centres offer a great range of group fitness programs for the enjoyment of all abilities and levels of fitness.

Sunbury Aquatic and Leisure Centre

New Class: Hatha Yoga

Launching Wednesday 4 May at 11:05am. A slow-paced class focusing on breath, controlled movements and stretching while benefiting your mental health. Come along, we hope to see you there.

  • Members: Please book in for Group Fitness classes via the Hume Fit App. Bookings open 90 minutes before class commencement.
  • Casual visitors: Please see our friendly customer service staff to enrol and register into a group fitness class.
  • All participants must provide their name and present to the Group Fitness instructor before class to be marked off the attendance list.
  • Reformer Pilates Classes: Are accessible only to members with group fitness access on their membership.
  • Please bring a workout towel, water bottle and wear appropriate sporting and fitness attire. Jeans and open footwear will not be allowed for safety reasons.
  • If it's your first time, you're pregnant or you have any injuries or conditions please advise the instructor before class.
  • Follow different exercise modifications provided by the instructor.
  • If you feel any discomfort, please stop and notify the instructor.
  • Class durations range from 30 - 60 minutes.
  • Classes may be cancelled or replaced without any notification at any time.
  • Participants must not enter a class once it has commenced for health and safety reasons. Entering will be at the own risk of the participant.
  • Participants should arrive 10 minutes earlier for equipment based classes to allow enough time to set up.
  • Please follow the COVID-19 safety procedures and refer to signage within the centre. If you have any questions please ask your instructor.

Aqua is a cardiovascular workout through water that includes toning and core strengthening.

Duration: 45 minutes

Classes are low-impact and work to increase strength and muscle tone, reduce weight and improve general fitness. Ideal for older adults, pre/post natal women or anyone wanting to benefit from non-weight bearing fitness.

Exercise in the water and build strength and aerobic fitness at the same time. Aqua Zumba focuses on dance moves in the water and is also a great workout.

Fuses Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates in one workout to improve flexibility, posture and balance. Please bring your own mat to class.

Incorporate pads and gloves for the ultimate punching cardio workout. Work through a range of combos to develop speed, agility, cardio fitness and power.

A workout that challenges you to focus on tightening and toning your core muscles including your tummy and lower back.

Core30 is a 30 minute express HIIT class targeting your abdominal and core muscles. 

An awesome indoor cycling class. Power your legs through this high intensity workout and burn calories fast. 

Seniors Cycle - Active Aging program $5 fee applies. This class commences Thursday 22/7/21.

A medium to high intensity circuit training workout using functional movements to build strength, power, agility and endurance.

Duration: 50 minutes

A slow-paced class focusing on breath, controlled movements and stretching while benefiting your mental health.

A High Intensity Interval Training workout incorporating cardio and strength exercises to give you a great total body workout.

Duration: 50 minutes

Move and increase your fitness in this exercise dance class. Feel the vibe and burn calories to Latin rhythms. Seniors try Latin Fit Gold on Wednesdays.

A combination of a 30 minute Metafit Strength and Cardio, including an intense abdominal workout of 20 minutes.

Duration: 50 minutes

Pilates Reformer is conducted on state of the art reformer beds, incorporating pilates exercise technique for a challenging and intense workout. A wide variety of exercises are done on the reformer to promote length, strength, flexibility, and balance.

Duration: 50 minutes

A strength based workout targeting your upper body, lower body, and core. Use weight plates to build muscle, tone up and improve overall body strength.

Duration: 50 minutes

A freestyle cardio step class. Move to a variety of step variations to build strength in your glutes and legs.

Duration: 50 minutes

TAI CHI is a gentle form of martial art exercise, well known for its smooth flowing moves and health benefits. Suitable for beginners.

Duration: 60 minutes

Aligns the body and mind with a series of postures and breathing techniques. Feel relaxed and improve your flexibility strength and balance. Please bring your own mat to this class.
