Three-year Old Activity Program

Council's Three Year Old Activity Programs offers children a range of stimulating, planned activities implemented by quality staff. Activities include art and craft, music and movement, storytelling and painting.

Step 1.Download the Application Form

Download the Three Year Old Activity Program Application form(PDF, 1MB). Please note, a non-refundable $16 application fee applies.

Step 2.Nominate Three Activity Programs

You will be required to nominate three Activity Program preferences as part of your application. Please try to choose centres that you would be happy to accept a place at. You are welcome to contact any of the centres to arrange for a tour to help you decide which one will best suit you and your child.

Step 3.Prepare Supporting Documents

To complete your application you will need:

  • Proof of Child's birth. Please provide one of the following:
    • A copy of the child's birth certificate
    • A copy of the child's passport
    • An Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) from the Services Australia website.
  • Proof of Residence in Hume. Please provide one of the following:
    • A copy of your current driver's license
    • A copy of rates notice
    • A copy of any utility bill.

Step 4.Submit your Application

Take your application form with supporting documentation and non-refundable application fee to one of Council's three Customer Service Centres:

  • Broadmeadows Customer Service - 1079 Pascoe Vale Road, Broadmeadows
  • Craigieburn Global Learning Centre - 75-95 Central Park Avenue, Craigieburn
  • Sunbury Global Learning Centre - 44 Macedon Street, Sunbury

 

Applications open on the first business day in March each year, one year before the year of attendance. Your child must turn three years of age by 30 April in the year of attendance:

Children who do not turn three years of age between the commencement of term one and April 30, are only able to participate in the program with a parent or guardian and will remain the care and under the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

Term Fees for 2020 are $255 per term. Term fees are non refundable and no pro rata fees are applicable.

Council's preferred method of payment of activity program fees is by Direct Debit. Please complete the Direct Debit Arrangement form online.

Alternatively, you can download and manually complete the Direct Debit(PDF, 254KB) request form and submit it via email or in person at our Customer Service Centres.

There is no fee subsidy available as the Three Year Old Activity Program is not funded by the State Government.

In order to be considered in the initial placement intake (end of August), you application must be submitted by 30 June in the year before your child attends. Any applications received after this date will be processed throughout the year.

Offers will be made by email or mail. Offers are made based on date of application.

If you are offered a place, you will have two weeks to accept and respond.

If there are no places available at your preferred activity program, we will let you know of places available at other centers. You may choose one of them or remain on a waiting list.

If you have received a placement offer for your child, please return your printed form by email to preschool@hume.vic.gov.au or in person at any Customer Service Centre.

To make changes or cancel your child's application, you may complete the Change, Defer or Cancel your Application/Placement form online.

For any changes to program preferences submitted by 30 June in the year before attendance, the original registration date will be retained.

Changes to preferences submitted after 30 June in the year before attendance will result in a new registration date.
