Our services are now open, however over the coming weeks, some Council services will likely be impacted due to isolation requirements.

Please follow the individual health and safety measures signed at each of our facilities, and show respect to our staff if asked for your vaccination status.

Minor Delays to Waste Collection Services

With the surging numbers of Omicron in the community, Council is experiencing minor disruptions to waste collection services.   

The majority of collections are still being cleared on the scheduled collection day with a small percentage occurring the following day. Hume City residents are reminded to simply leave their bins out as normal and our teams will continue to collect rubbish as quickly as possible.   

General Advice

You can also help keep our community safe by:

  • Following staff directions.
  • Make sure to add your digital certificate to your Service Victoria app before you arrive.
  • If you have a medical exemption, please ensure you can provide photo ID.
  • Checking in via a QR code on entry. If you do not have a smartphone, staff can assist you and you will need to provide photo ID.
  • Wearing a mask where required. 
  • Staying home if you notice any symptoms, no matter how mild.
  • Practicing good hand hygiene.
  • Practicing social distancing.
