How to test for COVID

Rapid antigen tests

Rapid antigen tests (RATs) are the easiest way to test for COVID-19. You should test for COVID-19 using a rapid antigen test:

  • if you have COVID-19 symptoms (even if they are mild)
  • if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19
  • before visiting an aged care facility, disability care facility or a hospital
  • before visiting people with a disability, elderly people, or people at higher risk of severe COVID-19 illness.

Thanks to the Victorian Government, rapid antigen tests (RATs) are now available for collection from a variety of locations across Hume City for free. You can collect tests as needed, and you do not need to show a Medicare card or any form of ID.
