Innovate, Initiate, Inspire Youth Summit

The Innovate, Initiate, Inspire Youth Summit is a one-day summit which will be delivered on Thursday 20 October 2022 and hosted by Hume City Council Youth Services.

The III Youth Summit will focus on the topic of youth entrepreneurship including areas such as building entrepreneurial skills and opportunities; problem-solving, building resilience and youth-driven innovation.

Who can attend?

  • Young people who are currently in Year 9 to Year 12 or equivalent
  • Local service providers who form a group of young people from their service and are aged between 15 to 19 years

Schools and local service provides will be required to form a group a young people. To be classified as a group, a minimum of five young people will be required to attend and no more than 10 young people.

What will be included at the Youth Summit?

The Summit will offer a variety of valuable presentations and speakers including:

Keynote Speaker: hear from a keynote speaker that will discuss their journey to creating a social enterprise, whilst motivating the audience to be innovative thinkers and to start their innovative journey.

Panel and Q&A: a panel of young innovators and social entrepreneurs will participate in a Q&A. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding pathways, innovation, journey to success, and social entrepreneurship.

Workshops: participants will be given the option to choose two preferred workshops that they would like to attend. These workshops will be facilitated by a variety of experienced social entrepreneurs and/or organisations.

Challenge: participants will take part in a challenge that will ensure young people can put their learning into practice and ignite their interest in innovative thinking.
