From Monday 22 July, we’ve been reconstructing Hothlyn Drive in Craigieburn.
As part of the reconstruction, we will:
- undertake road pavement works
- reconstruct kerb and channel
- upgrade the existing stormwater drainage system
- reconstruct driveways.
Construction works involve two stages. Stage 1 works are between Carlisle and Stockton Street, with Stage 2 works between Carlisle Street and Crocket Street.
The following works have now been completed on both stages:
- drainage works
- concrete works, including work on footpaths, pram crossings and driveways
- reconstruction of kerbs
- reinstatement of the nature strip.
Remaining works involve asphalting and profiling works, which will take place in late September and early October.
There are currently changed traffic conditions along Hothlyn Drive, including reduced speeds and lane closures in place so that we can complete these works safely. Please refer to traffic controllers and detour signs on site while these works take place.
These works are on track for completion in early October, with the progress dependent on weather conditions. We encourage you to plan your journey and allow additional travel time.
Thank you for your patience while we complete these important works.
Note: Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) will be closing Craigieburn Road both directions, between Walters Street and Hardy Avenue from 9pm, Sunday 22 September until Sunday 6 October. For more information on this closure, click here.
