Exhibit in Hume

2024 Gallery EOI Image_square.jpg

Hume Galleries Annual Exhibition Program offers opportunities for professional and non-professional artists and community groups to exhibit in dedicated cultural spaces, supported by the Hume Arts and Culture team.

The program is selected through a competitive Expression of Interest process that encourages innovative exhibitions and projects. We also welcome applications to present one-off events (eg. performances, workshops, new-media) in the galleries. The selection criteria supports a high level of participation, including from under-represented sectors of the Hume community including First Peoples, LGBTQIA+, Disability and migrant communities.

The annual gallery program is guided by Hume’s Creative Community Strategy with the aim of connecting the people and communities of Hume, creating opportunity, building wellbeing, connection and belonging through creative expression.

Hume has a substantial Civic Collection of over 8,000 photographs, objects and artworks. In addition to independent projects, Council invites submissions that engage with or re-interpret collection items.

Applications to exhibit in 2024 have now closed.
