Wonders, Curios and the Unseen is an exhibition of curious images, objects and artworks drawn from historical and community collections based in Hume.

Through the ages, people have and continue to collect and display their precious images, objects and artworks. While these unique collections often mirror the collector, their interests and community, the collections also inform and provide glimpses into the broader world – its wonders, curiosities and rarities.

Paying homage to those past traditions of collecting and exhibiting that also include the Great Exhibition, the Salon and Cabinets of Curiosity, this exhibition highlights and celebrates the breadth and diversity of Hume’s collectors and collections.

Supporting Contributors and Collections include:

  • Hume Civic Collection
  • George Evans Collection
  • Broadmeadows Historical Society
  • Richard Simmie, Harpsdale, Yuroke
  • Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Culture Heritage Aboriginal Corporation
