Kevin

In the second episode of #HumeStories, we caught up with Hume City local, Kevin O'Callaghan, who spoke to us about the vibrant change he's witnessed while living in Hume over the past 44 years.

Working with the Department of Defence for 42 years and simultaneously volunteering with the Victorian State Emergency Service since 1981, Kevin has continuously offered his time and dedication to supporting others. Driven by his commitment to the community, Kevin is the president of the Craigieburn War Memorial and Remembrance Committee which led the drive to build the Craigieburn War Memorial in ANZAC Park.

In recognition of Kevin's efforts to tirelessly support veterans, he was awarded the ANZAC of the Year Award by the RSL in 2018.

Have a watch below and hear what this passionate Hume local had to say about what he calls "one of the most resilient cities".
