Melbourne Cup holiday hours

Tuesday 1 November is the Melbourne Cup public holiday. 

Customer Service Centres will be closed. You can still report issues online or via the app, and contact our after-hours service on 9205 2200 if there is an emergency. 

Leisure Centres will be open with reduced hours from 8am - 5pm. Visit Broadmeadows Aquatic and Leisure Centre, Splash Aqua Park and Leisure Centre or Sunbury Aquatic and Leisure Centre for more information.

Waste collection will continue as normal - if your bin is due to be collected on the Melbourne Cup public holiday (Tuesday 1 November), it will be collected as normal. 

Resource Recovery Centres (tips) will be open as normal (8am to 4pm). Please note that opening hours are subject to change without notice on windy days. If in doubt, please phone the facility directly to confirm the opening hours. 

Hume Libraries will be closed. If you need to make a return, you can do so via the after-hours return chutes at the Broadmeadows, Craigieburn and Sunbury libraries. 

Community Centres will be closed. 

StartNorth will be closed.

Hume Global Learning Centres will be closed.
