One of Hume’s favourite major events, Craigieburn Festival, will return on Saturday 29 February 2020, from 11.30am to 9.30pm.

Mayor of Hume City, Councillor Carly Moore said the event had attracted more than 12,000 people throughout the day last year and had been entertaining residents of all ages for decades.

“Craigieburn ANZAC Park will once again come to life with great food, entertaining stage performances and free activities,” Cr Moore said.

“From 11.30am, the festival’s main stage will be jam-packed with a range of talented artists, including headliner Kyle Lionhart, Viktoria K, InSync Entertainment, Denzil Para, Isaac McKenzie, Jamie McLennan, Joys Soul Band, Claymore, This Way North, Marty P and DJ Steph.

“Away from the main stage, Craigieburn ANZAC Park will feature kids’ activities, many for free, including a circus workshop, puppet activities, face painting, an animal farm and much more.

“Pop into the Active Zone to join in on the fun with AFL Victoria, Upfield Soccer Club, Craigieburn Little Athletics, Hume Bombers Football Club, Fernwood Fitness and Splash Aqua Park and Leisure Centre.

“After you have jumped into the Active Zone, take your pick from an array of food trucks, where there will be something for all tastes.

“Art enthusiasts can view up to two hundred artworks at the 30th Annual Craigieburn Art Show and there will be plenty of carnival rides, market and information stalls to keep everyone busy.

“This great day out will culminate with the much-loved CFA Torchlight Parade from 8.45pm and fireworks at 9.30pm.

“This year, Council has also teamed up with Parkrun. Families and friends are encouraged to get active by taking part in the 5km Highlands Parkrun, which will commence from 8am on the day.

“Entrants can run or walk the event, with wheelchair and pram access available.”

Craigieburn Festival is proudly delivered by Hume City Council and sponsored by Lendlease, Craigieburn Central, Mantra Tullamarine Hotel, Costco Epping and Broadmeadows Central.
