About White Ribbon

White Ribbon is the world's largest male-led movement to end men's violence against women.

White Ribbon is a non-profit organisation that wants to change the attitudes and behaviours that lead to, and perpetuate, men’s violence against women.

The Ambassadors Program encourages boys and men to become the faces and leaders of the White Ribbon campaign. They take the White Ribbon Oath: never to commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women.

Women support White Ribbon through their roles as White Ribbon Champions. They encourage the boys and men in their lives to make the commitment to promote positive attitudes and behaviours towards women. Women may also intervene safely to prevent violence against women when needed.

White Ribbon Day celebrates the annual campaign and global recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Both men and women are encouraged to wear a symbolic white ribbon on White Ribbon Day each year.
