#in2diversity - YOUTH SPACE

Youth Services is currently running a youth space for same sex attracted, sex and gender diverse identifying questioning young people and their friends as part of the #in2diversity project funded by Victorian State Government HEY (Healthy Equal Youth) grants.

HEY grants support suicide prevention and mental health for SSASGD (same sex attracted, sex and gender diverse) young people. Youth Services will provide a safe space for SSASGD young people with weekly activities that could include guest speakers, art projects and excursions.

Hume Youth Services has participated in the Midsumma Pride March in St Kilda for the last three years. In 2016, Hume's mayor at the time Cr Helen Patsikatheodorou accompanied young people and Hume Youth Workers to show her support.

The space runs fortnightly on Fridays 3.30pm till 5.30pm alternating between the Sunbury Youth Centre and Craigieburn Youth Centre.
