The Jefferson Grid - Helen Fraser

The Jefferson Grid web image.png

This solo exhibition features new work by artist and psychologist Helen Fraser.

Fraser’s finely detailed compositions are inspired by her encounter with the Jefferson Grid - an agricultural area surveyed in early nineteenth century mid -west America, now commonly referred to as ‘the dust bowl’.

The quilts, embroideries and drawings on show reflect a range of themes – from personal identity and history to the evolving story of humanity’s interaction with the landscape.
