Invisible Frontiers – Ahmad Sabra

Invisible Frontiers
is a three-part project that investigates objective perceptions of Australian Muslim culture in contemporary Australian society. Ahmad Sabra uses photography and film to question stereotypes, exploring personal issues and perspectives of Muslim identity within an ever-evolving notion of ‘Australian Culture’.

Ahmad Sabra is a Broadmeadows artist who identifies as a Lebanese Australian Muslim. His current work tackles the difficult terrain of nationality, loyalty and faith. Through photography Ahmad offers perspectives of his world and the challenges that he encounters on a daily basis in understanding a sense of place.
