
Craigieburn Festival
Craigieburn Festival will return to Craigieburn ANZAC Park on Saturday 29 February 2020, from 11.30am - 9.30pm.
Attracting thousands of people, this free community event has something for everyone to enjoy. Craigieburn Festival is presented by Hume City Council and proudly sponsored by Lendlease, Craigieburn Central, Costco Epping, Mantra Tullamarine Hotel and Broadmeadows Central.

Kids Activities and Carnival Rides
Craigieburn ANZAC Park will be filled with free kids’ activities including:
- face painting (1pm - 4pm)
- an animal farm (11.30am - 6.30pm)
- circus workshop (2pm - 6pm)
- puppet activities (12pm - 2pm and 3pm - 5pm)
- human body parts (2pm - 2.2pm and 3pm - 3.20pm)
Carnival rides and roving entertainers will delight all throughout the day and night.
Festival Line-Up
Local and acclaimed musicians will take to the stage, playing everything from cultural sounds to pop music. Beloved Byron Bay singer/songwriter Kyle Lionhart will headline the festival taking to the stage at 8pm! Other musicians in the festival line-up are Viktoria K, InSync Entertainment, Denzil Para, Isaac McKenzie, Jamie McLennan, Joys Soul Band, Claymore, This Way North, Marty P and Bonanza Jellybean.

Annual Craigieburn Art Show
Art enthusiasts can view up to two hundred artworks at the 30th Annual Craigieburn Art Show held across the road at the Hume Global Learning Centre - Craigieburn. The Art Show takes place over two days from Saturday 29 February 10am - 4pm and Sunday 1 March 10am - 3pm. Art demonstrations will take place on both days:
- Saturday, 11am: Rex Amos
- Saturday, 1pm: Jo Brookshaw
- Sunday, 11am: Ian Harker
Highlands Parkrun
Register to take part in the family-friendly 5km Highlands Parkrun at 8am in Craigieburn! The event takes place in Stockland’s Highlands community, Northshore Drive, Craigieburn. See Course page for more details. Register at www.parkrun.com.au/highlands
Active Zone
Make sure you pop into the Active Zone to join in on the fun with AFL Victoria, Upfield Soccer Club, Craigieburn Little Athletics, Hume Bombers Football Club, Fernwood Fitness, Little Sports Hero's and Splash Aqua Park and Leisure Centre.
Market and Information Stalls
Market and information stalls include Kazza's Kandles & Beez Wrapz, Juz4Kidz, Mini Maestros Craigieburn, Joyful Hampers & More, S A Henna Artist, Displaytex, Rockjord & ShiNel, Banksia Gardens, Second Chance Animal Rescue, Caricatures By Viccas and Ros Spence MP State Member for Yuroke. Council will also have information stalls to share news and updates on Town Hall Broadmeadows and StartNorth, as well as offer a range of kids activities by Hume Libraries and Population Health, Family and Children’s Services; and a youth space by Youth Services.
CFA Torchlight Parade
At 8.45pm, the iconic CFA Torchlight Parade will return for the 75th year! Show your appreciation for emergency service volunteers, including Craigieburn CFA, SES Craigieburn Unit, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria. The Parade will be held shortly before the spectacular fireworks display to conclude the event.
Fireworks
Craigieburn Festival will conclude with a 10-minute fireworks display at 9.30pm. Fireworks, whilst entertaining for humans, can be a little scary for four-legged friends. Please ensure your pets are suitably restrained/brought inside prior to the fireworks being let off. This will prevent them from getting out and getting themselves lost after the event.
Waste Wise Event
Craigieburn Festival is a Hume City Council Waste Wise Event. This means we’d like to ask for your help to recycle and reduce our waste tonight. Before you throw something out, please stop and check the signs at the bin stations. Put your waste in the right bin.
What to bring
Enjoy Hume’s Craigieburn Festival with your family and friends and bring along:
- A hat and sunscreen to stay sun safe. If rain is forecast, pack a coat;
- Picnic essentials (alcohol not permitted) and a picnic rug to sit and enjoy the stage entertainment;
- Bring cash to purchase food, drink and amusements (ATM also available);
- A drink bottle and reusable bag to help us reduce plastic waste at this year’s festival.

Parking
Parking is always limited at Craigieburn Festival so public transport, cycling and walking is encouraged. If you are driving, we recommend parking at Craigieburn Central and walking over to ANZAC Park.

Disability Access
This event is wheelchair accessible.
First Aid
First aid services will be located near the Information Tent at Craigieburn ANZAC Park for the duration of the event.
Safety
Victoria Police and security will be at Craigieburn Festival for the duration of the event. This is a drug and alcohol-free event. No smoking is permitted onsite.
Toilets
Additional toilets including accessible toilets will be on site.
Lost Children
Parents or guardians are responsible at all times for the supervision and wellbeing of their children. A Lost Children’s point will be allocated at the Information Tent and will be manned for the duration of the event. Paper wristbands will be available at Lost Children point for parents to write their phone number on and attach to their child – in the instance they wander off.
Video and Photography
A photographer and a videographer will be onsite during the event. Photographs/footage will be used for promotional purposes on the Hume City Council’s website and social media sites. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let the photographer/ videographer know.
