The Friends of Organ Pipes National Park have been monitoring bats and their health since 1994, and there are over 500 bats in the park!

Learn how the bats came to be in the Organ Pipes National Park, and what the contributing factors are when populations are in decline.

Participants are welcome to arrive between 12 and 2pm to help collect bats from their boxes, and to stay on until dark with members of the Friends of Organ Pipes National Park to help with a bat release.

Free afternoon tea provided. Participants are advised to wear closed toe shoes, long pants, a hat and bring a water bottle.
