Ecological consultants from Biosis are searching high and low for animals; on the land, in the sky and underwater. Come along to this family-friendly evening to hear about how and why the fauna surveys are done, and what wildlife has been found. Hume City Council conducts fauna surveys in conservation reserves so these areas of habitat can then be managed appropriately for the wildlife who live there.

We’ll need to listen out for the endangered Growling Grass Frogs in the recently restored Frog Court Wetland. And become citizen scientists be recording frog calls for Melbourne Water's Frog Census.

Participants will be given copies of the Fauna of Hume and Birds of Hume field guides.

This is a free community event, suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds, especially those with an interest in animals and the natural environment.
