Hume’s Australia Day is a day for all Australians. It is a day to come together and celebrate our city's diversity, culture and stories of all who live here.

It’s an opportunity to take pride in our achievements and celebrate our traditions. And for our new citizens, today is a day to embrace a new country. A place where your own unique histories, traditions and experiences will enrich our cultural story.

Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony

Time: 9am - 11am
Where: Town Hall Broadmeadows - 10 Dimboola Road, Broadmeadows
Event details: Everyone is welcome to come along to Hume’s Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony. This is a free event. For more information, click here.

Broadmeadows Town Park Opening

Time:6pm - 6.30pm

Broadmeadows Town Park - Pearcedale Parade, Broadmeadows
Event details: 
Come along and celebrate the opening of Broadmeadows Town Park before Summer Sessions: Movies and Music kicks off at 6pm. This is a free event. 

Summer Sessions: Movies and Music Broadmeadows 

Time: 6pm - 9pm
Where: 
Broadmeadows Town Park - Pearcedale Parade, Broadmeadows
Event details: 
Come along with friends and family and enjoy a free outdoor movie and live music this Australia Day. There will be free face painting, mini golf and live entertainment from 6pm, with Happy Feet commencing at 7pm. An ice cream truck and sausage sizzle will also be available. Australia Day holiday operating hours 

Some Council services and facilities will be closed or have reduced operating hours on the Australia Day public holiday, Monday 27 January. For more information, click here
