Hume Council is helping to celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2020 with a series of exciting online events and activities.

This year the theme of National Reconciliation Week is In this together. Reconciliation Week happens every year from 27 May – 3 June, commemorating two very important events in the calendar - the 1967 referendum campaign that raised the profile of the struggle for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander self-determination, and the High Court Mabo decision.

This year Hume’s Sustainable Environment Team will present a very special live streamed tour of the Sunbury Rings Cultural Landscape by cultural educator and Wurundjeri Elder, Uncle Bill Nicholson Jr. Click here to register for the virtual tour.

Uncle Bill Nicholson has been working in cultural education for over 20 years. He currently works as the Cultural Education Manager at the Wurundjeri Council.

By registering, you will be sent the link to the live stream. Please note this is a one off event and in respect to the Wurundjeri, it will not be published for later viewing.
