We are proud to sponsor community-run events throughout the year. These events promote community pride and help bring the community together.

Sponsorship applications for events held in the 2016-2017 financial year (1 July 2016 – 30 June 2017) are now closed. Applicants will be notified in July of the outcome of their application.

Sponsorship applications for events held in the 2017-2018 financial year (1 July 2017 – 30 June 2018) are now open until 30 October 2016. Please read the Sponsorship Policy.pdf and complete the Application Form. pdf to be considered.

We were proud to sponsor the following events in the 2016-2017 financial year:


This free festival will be held between 18-19 March 2017 at the Sunbury Village Green and attracts thousands of people. SunFest celebrated its 40th year in 2016 with a huge amount of activities including: a walk/run, street parade, amusements and carnival games and much more.

SunFest is Sunbury's largest community festival and it is run solely by volunteers. This event was the winner of the Hume Community Event of the year at the 2016 Australia Day Awards. It is an event that delivers colour, excitement and pride to not only Sunbury residents but to all who live in Hume City.


Sunbury Streetlife 

This family-friendly event held on Sunday 20 November 2016, 10am-3.30pm. Sunbury Streetlife brings Sunbury’s O’Shannasy Street to life with live entertainment, vibrant atmosphere and plenty of kids’ activities and community displays. This event helps grow, acknowledge and support local businesses.

This event is one of the newest on the Sunbury event calendar, having kicked off just three years ago. It has already won the hearts of many, receiving the 2014 Australia Day Award for 'The Best Community Event' in 2013.


Christmas on the Green

Held on Saturday 10 December 2016 from 5 - 8.45pm, this free Christmas carols event attracts many families at the Village Green. The night will be full of performances and children’s activities keeping families well-entertained and bringing alive the spirit of Christmas. This event is presented by the combined churches of Sunbury.

Sunbury Carols

Sunbury Agricultural Show

The long-standing show was held on Saturday 8 October 2016 at the Sunbury Recreation Reserve. Every year the Sunbury Agricultural Show attracts some 15,000 people who enjoy rides, show bags, community displays, petting zoos and horse parades.
