New Environmental Scholarships

Applications open on 15 August for a new environmental scholarship in Hume.

Courses that will be funded include conservation, land management courses, or environment and sustainability courses. The scholarship can fund up to 80 per cent of course fees, to a maximum of $1500 per applicant. 

Applicants must live, work or volunteer in Hume.

The aim of the scholarship is to support residents to create positive environmental change, by providing financial assistance towards environmental education. 

Items that will be funded include fees for short courses, courses delivered by a Registered Training Organisation or Learn Local, short courses delivered by reputable organisations or conference registration.

Things that will not be funded include Tertiary degrees and TAFE courses, travel or accomodation costs, books and materials such as computer equipment or course material.
