Broadmeadows Town Hall redevelopment
Hume City Council is redeveloping the Broadmeadows Town Hall into a place for community events and a business hub to support local jobs.
The Broadmeadows Town Hall has been a special place in the hearts of many locals, however as the building has aged, it has fallen out of use in recent years.
Over the last few years, Council has been asking local residents on what improvements they would like to see in the Broadmeadows area, and many residents have asked for the Town Hall to be redeveloped.
After listening to residents’ feedback, Council sought funding from the Victorian Government to fund works to reactivate this landmark building. Happily, we received $7 million towards the redevelopment from the state government and have now appointed architects to design the $20.2 million refurbishment.
Plans have now been developed to redevelop the Town Hall so that it can once again be enjoyed by the community, and support the creation of local jobs.
The design concepts for the redevelopment of Broadmeadows Town Hall have been developed and are available. Council is keen to hear what types of events, activities and programs the community would like to take place in the redeveloped community and business hub.
The redeveloped Broadmedows Town Hall building will include a large hall and meeting rooms, spaces for business and employment, conference facilities and a gallery to showcase exhibitions and events. The business spaces will offer a place for more than 200 people to work.
Below are images of what some of the redeveloped spaces are projected to look like. For more information on the redevelopment and design click here.
