Club Contribution Policy for Capital Work Projects

Thank you for providing your feedback to the draft 'Club Contribution Policy for Capital Works Projects'. The feedback process closed on 3 May 2019. Hume City Council will be looking into the feedback which will inform future decision making.

The draft ‘Club Contribution Policy for Capital Works Projects’ was developed to establish clarity around the level of funding required for sport and recreation infrastructure.

The draft policy identifies the percentage of capital contribution that Council will make to a standard range of sports and recreation facilities. It also identifies where clubs will be required to make a financial contribution to capital works.

The review of the ‘Club Contribution Policy for Capital Works Projects’ identifies that where Hume sporting clubs request infrastructure that is above standard provision, they are required to meet 100% of the capital and on-going maintenance costs of these assets, unless otherwise stated in the policy. The contributions are only applicable if the project is funded in Council’s Capital Works Program.
