Domestic Animal Management Plan

Council is currently developing a new four-year Domestic Animal Management Plan. The plan provides Council with a strategic approach towards:

  1. Promoting responsible pet and domestic animal ownership (e.g. dogs, cats, birds, rabbits)
  2. Ensuring the welfare of pets and domestic animals
  3. Protecting the needs of the broader community and environment.

To help develop the Plan, Council would like you to provide your feedback. We are keen to hear from both pet owners and non-pet owners across the Hume City municipality.

The Plan will consider community feedback, while following the requirements of the Domestic Animals Act 1994.
