Draft Council Plan and Draft Budget

On Monday 8 May 2017, Hume City Council formally considered its Draft Council Plan 2017-2021 incorporating the Strategic Resource Plan and Draft Budget 2017/18.

The following information is provided in respect of this Public Notice:

Council will meet to adopt its Council Plan and Budget at (Hume Global Learning Centre), Broadmeadows at 7pm on Monday 26 June 2017.

Copies of the Draft Council Plan 2017-2021 and Draft Budget 2017/18 are available for inspection on this website and during business hours at the following locations:

  • Broadmeadows Customer Service Centre, 1079 Pascoe Vale Road, Broadmeadows;
  • Craigieburn Customer Service Centre and Craigieburn Library, Hume Global Learning Centre Craigieburn, 75-95 Central Park Avenue, Craigieburn;
  • Sunbury Customer Service Centre, 40 Macedon Street, Sunbury;
  • The Age Library and Learning Centre, Hume Global Learning Centre Broadmeadows;
  • The Tullamarine, Sunbury and Gladstone Park Libraries and the Hume Mobile Library. 

Submissions

Written submissions about the Draft Council Plan 2017-2021 and Draft Budget 2017/18 will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 (“the Act”). Written submissions may be made on any proposal contained within Draft Council Plan 2017-2021 and Draft Budget 2017/18. Submissions may be included in an agenda for a meeting of the Council that will be made available to the public. Submissions must be received by Wednesday, 7 June 2017 and should be addressed to: Mr. Domenic Isola, Chief Executive Officer, Hume City Council, PO BOX 119, DALLAS, 3047 or at contactus@hume.vic.gov.au

Any person who wishes to be heard in support of their written submission must request this in their submission. Such persons will be entitled to appear in person or by a person acting on his or her behalf before the Council meeting where submissions will be heard. Council will consider any submissions received on Monday 19 June 2017 at 7pm in the Council Chamber, (Hume Global Learning Centre), Broadmeadows.
