Craigieburn Local Area Traffic Management Study - Proposed Traffic Management Plan

As part of Hume City Council’s ongoing commitment to Local Area Traffic Management (LATM), Council was undertaking a study of traffic issues within the Craigieburn East and West areas.

Between December 2018 and February 2019, Council sought community input into the LATM study via an online mapping tool to identify areas for consideration or improvement. Approximately 100 areas/ issues were identified by residents, plus further feedback and input received via Council’s social media.
In addition to community input, the study considered:
  • Traffic speeds and volumes
  • Casualty crashes
  • Pedestrian and cycling connectivity
  • Parking issues.
After considering this information, Council proposed to install a number of traffic treatments. These proposals were only preliminary, and before Council made any decision on the treatments, council decided to seek feedback from the community through an online survey. Please note that the feedback process closed on 12 April 2019. The council will now review the feedback which will guide future decisions.
